Nou Camp Overview
Opened for the start of the new season in 1957, the Nou Camp (Camp Nou in Spanish) is home to Barcelona Football Club and is renowned as one of the greatest football stadiums in Europe. Barcelona is one of the most popular teams in Spain's La Liga and the atmosphere at home matches is usually electric. In 1984 the Nou Camp Museum was added to the complex which has been extended several times since that date to accommodate new exhibits and now attracts over a million visitors each year. Guided tours of the ground are available from the museum. The stadium is also used to host other events such as music concerts.
