    Warning
Most visits to Germany are trouble-free but you should be aware of the global risk of indiscriminate international terrorist attacks, which could be against civilian targets, including places frequented by foreigners. Two explosive devices were found on regional trains in the Dortmund and Koblenz areas on 31 July 2006. These were made safe and police investigations are continuing.

A number of British nationals have been arrested for possessing counterfeit currency. Travelers are advised against changing currency anywhere other than banks or legitimate Bureaux de Change.
