Mongolian Vistas(Trip #55498)

Tour Overview

Mongolia is one of the last great wildernesses of the world. A land of diversity, the stunning landscape varies from desert to lush forest, from vast grassy plains to rocky crags and mountain ranges. Despite, or perhaps because of the wild landscape, Mongolian people are amongst the most welcoming and friendly of any nation. Getting to meet a local family will undoubtedly be a highlight of your time here. This shorter trip heads west from Ulaan Baatar mixing the freedom of camping with some nights in a proper bed with real facilities. A balance between freedom and comfort - with plenty of opportunities for outdoor recreation.

Itinerary:
Day 1 ULAAN BAATAR Arrive and transfer to hotel.
Day 2 BAGA GAZRIN CHULUU Visit Zorgol Khairkhan mountain and then drive to Baga Gazrin Chuluu, a rock formation in the middle of dusty plains which is worshipped by locals. Camp overnight.
